Jewish Faculty and Staff issue a statement
A group of Jewish faculty and staff from across JHU is inviting signatures from other Jewish faculty and staff on a statement condemning the use of antisemitism as a pretext for attacks on higher education.
The statement declares support for free academic inquiry and the constitutionally guaranteed right to peaceable assembly and free speech, and rejects exploiting legitimate concerns about antisemitism to justify politically-motivated attacks on education and our international students and colleagues. They say: “The more we speak up, the harder it becomes for the government to appropriate our identity as a means for harming our students and colleagues.”
